Here are some of the fabulous and exciting moves and concepts that you will learn over the course of time in World In Motion’s Tribal Belly Dance Classes. Proficiency in listed moves and concepts for each level is required prior to moving up to the next level of Tribal Belly Dance classes. Please see individual class listings for details on all requirements for advancing a level in these classes.

FUNDAMENTALS OF TRIBAL BELLY DANCE MOVES AND CONCEPTS

Fast Moves:

  • Arabic (moving, turning)
  • Arabic 1-2-3
  • Arabic Hip Twist (1/4 & 1/2 turns)
  • Basic Pivot Bump/Choo-Choo (turning, moving forward)
  • Basic Ghawazee (moving, 1/4 turns)
  • Box Step w/turn
  • Chest/Hip Slides/Circles (moving, turning)
  • Chest Lifts/Drops
  • Double Bump (Moving, turning)
  • Egyptian (1/2 and full turns)

Enrollment in Advanced ATS®/Tribal Belly Dance is by teacher approval only.  Moves and Concepts covered in this class will be determined on a session-by-session basis.
