Class Policies

Thank you for your interest in taking classes at World In Motion!  Please find information on classes and fees below.

For class fees, please return to the Weekly Schedule page, and click on the class name that you are interested in.  Fees are listed at the bottom of the page.  We will pro-rate many of our classes, should you choose to join in the middle of a session or if you would like to drop in to just one class.  Please contact World In Motion for specific rates.

*All sessions are 6 consecutive weekly class meetings, unless otherwise specified.

-All adult dance classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes or 1 hour in length and will be for ages 14+ unless otherwise noted in the class description. All fitness classes are one hour in length. All children’s classes are 45 minutes in length.
-All sessions will be scheduled to run simultaneously so that all classes begin and end in the span of the same week.  (For example, classes starting at the beginning of January should all finish in mid-February.)
-If a session includes a non-studio scheduled holiday on one of its class days, then the class will either run as a 5-week session or a make-up class will be scheduled during the next quarterly studio break.

Registration:

  • All classes require pre-registration and pre-payment.
  • Payment will be accepted at the first class, but only if the minimum number of required students for that class has been met ahead of time and the class has not already sold out.
  • You may register using our online registration form. Advanced payment may be made by PayPal (now available via our online registration system) or by mailing a check payable to World In Motion to 10235-500 Chapel Hill Road, Morrisville, NC 27560.
  • If you are dropping in, you may pay on the day of the class in cash or by check.
  • N.B. We do not accept credit or debit cards for payment.
  • Space in class is not guaranteed until payment is received.

Fees: Fees must be paid by the first class for the entire session unless you are dropping in to a class.  Some teachers will accept late registration if space permits.

Drop-In availability:
Many of our classes allow you to “drop in” at the specified drop-in rate.  Please see the individual class pages to determine if a class allows drop-ins.

Missed classes and refunds:
We regret that class fees are non-refundable. However, one missed class may be made up during the same session in another class of an appropriate level.  Students requesting one will be given a make-up class voucher that they can use once per class session. This voucher will expire at the end of that session and may not be carried over to future sessions. If you have a question about which classes are appropriate for your level, please contact World In Motion for clarification.

Non-sufficient Funds/Returned Check Policy:
If a check is returned from the bank for non-sufficient funds, a $35.00 non-sufficient funds/returned fee will be assessed.  Students will not be permitted to continue in class until the registration and returned check fees have been paid in cash or via PayPal.

Cancellations:
World In Motion reserves the right to cancel a class if enrollment is not sufficient.  Students may choose another class if there is sufficient space available or a full refund.

Inclement Weather:
In case of inclement weather, World In Motion will follow the Wake County Public School system for cancellations.  In the event that class is cancelled due to inclement weather, World In Motion will notify students by email.  We will attempt to schedule make-up classes when possible; if a make-up class is not possible, you may attend any other class we offer during the same session that is of an appropriate level.  We are not able to give refunds or credit for classes missed due to weather.  If there is inclement weather but classes have not been cancelled, students will follow the normal policy for make-up classes if they choose not to attend.

Code of Ethics:

We ask our adult dance students to read and sign a code of ethics which encourages all students to be respectful of other students and performers and to represent the culture of their dance forms appropriately.  Please see the  WIM Code of ethics for students.
